This Morning I was feeling little frustrated with my relationship with God. I’m sure you must be surprised by that Statement since I’m a Pastor (Can you feel the sarcasm?). Man first, child of God second, Pastor third, just in-case you have some preconceived ideas on how this relationship really works. Each day I wake up, just like the rest of the world looking for answers to life and for us who believe, look to God. I’m also a bible guy, which means I have a decent point of reference (morals, relationships, Jesus as friend and Saviour and so on) for many of the answers I need. To be honest though, many of the questions I need answered are not in the bible and I’m just not smart enough to figure it out on my own. Bottom line is, I need God to speak. I call it the Divine Voice Over. It’s when God overcomes all the other voices in my life, whether it’s voices from the outside or the ones inside.
I think Many of us who believe in Jesus struggle at times with being Christian Agnostics. We hear the truth, believe in Christ, read our bible and pray but succumb to the feeling that God is impersonal most of the time and can’t be reached on a very deep and personal level. Our day to day silent experiences, prove we are not truly in contact with a living God.
My hope over the next few days is to remind myself of the process in hearing from God and encouraging you on the same journey.
